TrueSite — Where construction gets organized
FOR RESIDENTIAL REMODELERS

Remodeling software that keeps client selections moving.

A kitchen or bathroom remodel can slow down over one unfinished decision. TrueSite connects the client's finish selections, item allowances and deadlines to the project, so the business side of the remodel stays organized.

Give every finish a clear place in the job.

A text saying “the brushed one” is difficult to order from. A useful client selection record identifies the item, finish, model, supplier, allowance and decision date. It also makes the next action clear: waiting for the homeowner, ready to order, or requiring a documented price change.

01

Identify the item

List the faucet, backsplash tile, cabinet hardware or other finish the homeowner needs to choose. Keep each choice tied to its own scope and allowance.

02

Set the decision deadline

Work backward from ordering and installation. Give the homeowner a specific decision to make and a date, so late choices can be discussed before they interrupt the next phase.

03

Record the cost difference

Compare the selected item against its allowance. When the selection exceeds the allowance, document the added cost through the change-order process before treating the decision as settled.

THE WORKFLOW IN PRACTICE

This example isolates the selected item's price. Any separate labor, delivery or other scope changes should be documented in the relevant project records.

PART OF YOUR EVERYDAY WORK

Selections belong with the rest of the remodel.

TrueSite's client selection list sits alongside guided contracts, milestone payments, job expenses and the homeowner portal. That gives a small residential contractor a way to follow both the decision and the job it affects.

Use the sample project to explore the contractor's view, then switch to the homeowner portal. Look at whether the homeowner can understand the item, its allowance and the next decision without another explanation from your crew.

TrueSite is built around the day-to-day management of residential work. The selection list is especially relevant to kitchen, bathroom and other finish-heavy remodels where several homeowner choices must stay connected to ordering and installation.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Practical questions.
Clear answers.

What is client selection software for remodelers?

It organizes homeowner choices such as tile, plumbing fixtures and hardware with the details needed to act on them: item information, allowances, deadlines and decision status.

Can an unused allowance be moved to another item?

TrueSite's stated selection policy treats allowances per item: they are not transferable, underspending does not create a credit, and overages require a change order. The project agreement should clearly explain the terms that apply to the job.

Does choosing a more expensive item record a job expense?

A selection decision and an incurred expense are different records. Document the price change, then record the actual cost when it occurs so the job's financial records remain meaningful.
